This vehicle has an influence on fleet management by offering a flexible solution that caters to various needs.Flexible seating configuration

It can accommodate multiple passengers comfortably while still providing ample space for cargo. This flexibility enables businesses to use the vehicle for various purposes, from transporting work crews to delivering goods.Ample cargo space Ford Transit Custom Multicab
One of the key features of the Transit Custom Multicab is its generous cargo capacity. The L2 models, equipped with a load-through bulkhead, offer maximum loadspace. This feature has an impact on businesses that need to transport large items or substantial amounts of cargo. However, it’s important to note that the actual cargo and load capacity are limited by weight and weight distribution.Comfortable cabin features
The Transit Custom Multicab doesn’t compromise on comfort. Its cabin has been designed to provide a pleasant environment for both driver and passengers. The new Ford Transit Custom 2024 interior enhancements further improve the overall experience, making long journeys more comfortable and productive. It’s worth noting that the maximum payload varies based on accessories and vehicle configuration. The L1 320 model offers the highest load capacity, making it suitable for businesses with heavier cargo requirements. Additionally, the towing capacity of the Transit Custom Multicab varies depending on factors such as cargo, vehicle configuration, accessories, and the number of passengers.Powerful and Efficient Powertrain Options
The Ford Transit Custom Multicab offers a range of powerful and efficient powertrain options to suit various business needs. These options provide flexibility and performance for different driving conditions and operational requirements.EcoBlue diesel engines
The Transit Custom Multicab has a 2.0-litre diesel engine, known as EcoBlue, available in four power outputs: 107bhp, 134bhp, 148bhp, and 168bhp. This variety allows businesses to choose the most suitable engine for their specific needs. The 134bhp and 168bhp versions offer the additional benefit of four-wheel drive capability, while all other versions are front-wheel drive. In tests, the 148bhp engine has proven to be a good match for the Transit Custom, providing ample performance across the rev range and ensuring sufficient power even on motorways.Plug-in hybrid variant Ford Transit Custom Multicab
For businesses looking to reduce their carbon footprint, the Ford Transit Custom PHEV is also available as a plug-in Custom hybrid (PHEV). This variant offers an electric-only driving range of 48-55 km (30-34 miles) according to WLTP tests. It’s worth noting that actual range may vary depending on factors such as temperature, driving behaviour, route profile, and battery condition.Fuel economy and emissions
The Transit Custom Multicab demonstrates impressive fuel efficiency across its range. The 2.0-litre diesel engines offer average fuel economy figures ranging from 34.0mpg for the 168bhp automatic with four-wheel drive to 40.9mpg for the 107bhp manual front-wheel drive version, based on official WLTP figures. The PHEV variant significantly improves these figures, achieving up to 176.0mpg due to its ability to travel on electric-only power for 35 miles in official tests. In terms of emissions, the PHEV model targets CO2 emissions of 35-45 g/km WLTP, making it an environmentally friendly option for businesses concerned about their carbon footprint.Advanced Technology and Safety Features

This system is displayed on a 13-inch central touchscreen, complemented by a 12-inch digital gauge cluster. The infotainment system supports wireless smartphone mirroring, allowing seamless connexion to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto each time the driver enters the van. A standout feature is Delivery Assist, designed to speed up deliveries by automating actions such as switching on hazard lights, closing windows, and locking doors when the driver exits the van.Enhanced connectivity Ford Transit Custom Multicab
The vehicle offers Ford Pro™ Telematics for eligible fleet customers, subject to subscription charges and terms and conditions. The FordPass Pro app, compatible with select smartphone platforms, can be paired with the FordPass Connect modem. This connectivity allows for data sharing, although coverage may vary and additional charges may apply. It’s important to note that driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention and control of the vehicle.Cost-Effective Fleet Management Solution
The Ford Transit Custom Multicab offers a compelling financial proposition for fleet managers. Its cost-effectiveness stems from several factors that contribute to a lower total cost of ownership and improved long-term value.Total cost of ownership
Ford has designed the Transit Custom PHEV to have a total cost of ownership that is comparable to or better than its diesel counterparts. This variant boasts CO2 emissions of around 60g/km, which can lead to significant savings in emissions-based charges and taxes. The PHEV model’s battery pack has an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty, providing peace of mind for long-term reliability.Maintenance and service intervals
The Transit Custom requires servicing every two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. This extended service interval helps to reduce downtime and maintenance costs for fleet operators. Regular servicing at Ford dealerships ensures the use of genuine OEM parts and technicians trained specifically for Ford vans, maintaining the vehicle’s performance and reliability.Residual value Ford Transit Custom Multicab
The Transit Custom has demonstrated strong residual values, with a 10.5% improvement in its three-year/60,000-mile residual value compared to its predecessor. This translates to a difference of £1,975, indicating excellent long-term value retention. Despite a price increase of around 10% compared to the previous generation, the Transit Custom remains competitively priced in its class, undercutting rivals such as the Citroën Despatch, Peugeot Expert, and Vauxhall Vivaro. Conclusion
The Ford Transit Custom Multicab has proven to be a game-changer in fleet management. Its versatile design, powerful powertrain options, and advanced technology features make it a top choice for businesses looking to streamline their operations. The vehicle’s ability to adapt to various needs, from transporting crews to delivering goods, coupled with its impressive fuel efficiency and safety features, has an impact on overall fleet productivity and cost-effectiveness. To sum up, the Transit Custom Multicab offers a comprehensive solution to meet diverse business requirements. Swiss vans are a fantastic company to deal with .From the first meeting we had they delivered everything that was asked of them , my transporter was fitted with everything I asked for with expertise as my expectations was met to the letter .if you are thinking of getting your self a transporter that gets everything you expect and ask for this is definitely the company to use . I was worried first as I shoped about and some of the quotes I received was astronomical with other companies, but I feel as a customer a customer of swiss vans i looked after in everything that I was promised so I would definitely recommend these guys and I will no doubt use their services again in the future..... David jones .... thanks Tom Jones for all your help ....

I don't normally leave reviews but I can't recommend these guys enough, seriously - anyone that's looking to buy a van or other commercial vehicle, give these guy's a call, ask for Tom because you won't be disappointed...!!!
I needed a commercial vehicle for private use as I'm not self employed and therefore paying the VAT upfront is quite a chunk of money to loose so needed it to be wrapped up in the monthly repayment. I'd already tried several other companies before Swiss Vans and non of them were interested. I'd pretty much given up and was looking at 2nd Hand vans until I came across Swiss Vans advert on Facebook. I sent a message (with very low expectation) and the next day I was contacted by Tom Jones (yes, a Welshman called Tom Jones who sells vans...!!!). Tom is the first person that actually took the time to listen to what I needed and how I needed it work. He went away and came back a couple of hours later and explained that initially this wasn't going to be easy to achieve but to leave it with him and that he'd call me the next day. To be honest, I didn't think I'd hear from him again but true to his word he called me the next day and said that he had it all worked out, all agreed and all in place ready to go. Tom fired over the paperwork, I paid the small holding deposit and a few weeks later the vans been delivered and completely exceeded my expectations.
I'm a great believer that 'People buy People', yes Swiss Vans are truly excellent and I'd go as far as to say that in my experience, they're better than the rest but like all other companies they're only as good as the people they have working for them. Tom - I can't thank you enough, you're a credit to Swiss Vans, and Swiss Vans - you're outstanding.
