The new Vizor front-end design really stands out and matches Vauxhall’s current style. A sleek grille runs across the front with the Griffin logo right in the middle. The cab has a totally new dashboard that puts modern tech and usefulness first. A new 10-inch infotainment touchscreen sits high on the dashboard, and it’s really easy to use. We loved the smart addition of a phone shelf under the screen that has a USB port for smooth connection. Drivers now get a 10-inch digital instrument display they can set up just how they want. During our time with the van, we liked how it shows everything from speed to full navigation directions on Pro models. The wireless phone charging and connection features bring the Vivaro right up to date.Enhanced Safety Features New Vauxhall Vivaro
The new safety tech really impressed us during our detailed testing. The Vivaro now has:- Dynamic Surround Vision System – This clever system puts together a digital rear-view mirror with outside cameras that give you great views all around
- Visiopark 180-degree Camera – Works naturally with 12 parking sensors
- Intelligent Speed Assistance – Traffic sign recognition that picks up signs very accurately
- Active Cruise Control – You get stop-and-go features on automatic models
- Forward Collision Alert – Advanced emergency braking that performed well in our tests
Performance and Efficiency Deep Dive
We’ve completed our tests of the new Vauxhall Vivaro’s diesel and electric variants. Our team tested these vans in different conditions to give you a complete picture of their performance.Diesel Engine Options and Specifications
Both diesel powertrains showed great results in our tests. The base model 1.5-liter diesel engine puts out a strong 120PS with 300Nm of torque, which handled our full-load tests easily. The bigger 2.0-liter variant generates 145PS and 370Nm of torque and delivers excellent pulling power. This engine works even better with the smooth automatic transmission.
Electric Vivaro-e Capabilities New Vauxhall Vivaro
The Vivaro-e proved its worth in our tests. We tested both battery versions extensively:- 75kWh Battery: Reaches up to 205 miles range
- 50kWh Battery: Goes 143 miles on a charge
- Charging Speed: 0-80% in just 30 minutes (50kWh) or 45 minutes (75kWh)
Real-Life Fuel Economy Data
Our daily driving tests showed excellent fuel efficiency across all models. The 1.5-liter diesel reached between 38.7-44.8 mpg in mixed driving, while the 2.0-liter version achieved 34.0-39.8 mpg. These numbers match Vauxhall’s WLTP ratings closely. The Vivaro-e’s range changes based on your driving style and load. City driving nearly matched the claimed range, but highway speeds reduced it noticeably. Weather and cargo weight affect the range too, but the smart energy management system helps maintain good efficiency. The balance between performance and efficiency impressed us most. Diesel models keep good fuel economy even when fully loaded, and the electric version’s quick charging makes it perfect for city businesses.Practical Loading and Cargo Solutions New Vauxhall Vivaro
Our hands-on evaluation of the new Vauxhall Vivaro’s cargo capabilities revealed a versatile loading solution that works for businesses of all sizes. Let me share the practical features that make this van a standout in its class.Cargo Space Dimensions and Configurations
The measurements we took of both Vivaro variants show that the standard L1 model has 5.3 cubic meters of cargo space, and the extended L2 version provides 6.1 cubic meters. The practical layout really caught our attention:| Dimension | L1 Model | L2 Model |
|---|---|---|
| Load Length | 2,512mm | 2,862mm |
| Load Width | 1,636mm | 1,636mm |
| Load Height | 1,397mm | 1,397mm |
Loading Features and Accessibility New Vauxhall Vivaro
Twin sliding side doors are a great way to get quick access during urban deliveries. Each door has a 935mm wide opening, and the rear doors give you a 1,282mm access width. The 180-degree rear door opening works perfectly for forklift loading operations. The FlexCargo system stands out as an innovative feature that has:- A smart bulkhead opening measuring 500mm x 300mm
- Extendable load length capability up to 4,150mm
- Integrated load-through facility for longer items
Maximum Payload Capabilities
The Vivaro’s carrying capacity varies between 1,121kg to 1,384kg, based on the model and engine choice. The 2.0-liter engine variants carry the heaviest loads, making them perfect for demanding jobs. The van’s axle weight distribution sets it apart. A front axle capacity of 1,500kg and rear axle rating of 1,800kg keeps it stable even with full loads. This balanced weight distribution helps substantially with handling, especially when you navigate tight urban spaces with a full cargo load.Technology and Connectivity Features
Our team tested the new Vauxhall Vivaro and we were amazed by its tech upgrades. The van’s tech package shows how far commercial vehicles have come in terms of connectivity and driver assistance.New 10-inch Infotainment System New Vauxhall Vivaro
The stunning 10-inch HD touchscreen system stands out as the showpiece of the Vivaro’s modern interior. The screen sits high on the dashboard – a smart design choice that makes it easy to see and reach. The system impressed us with its:- High-resolution display with anti-glare coating
- Customizable RGB illumination to match cabin lighting
- Accessible menu structure with quick-access buttons
- Voice control capabilities for hands-free operation
Driver Assistance Technologies New Vauxhall Vivaro
We got a full picture of the detailed driver assistance features that bring several innovative technologies:| Feature | Our Experience |

| Intelligent Speed Assist | Accurately recognizes speed limits with timely warnings |
| Lane Keep Assist | Provides gentle steering corrections without being intrusive |
| Driver Attention Alert | Effectively monitors driving patterns and suggests breaks |

- Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX technology
- USB-C data and charging ports
- 4G connectivity for live services
Total Cost of Ownership Analysis
The cost of owning and operating a new Vauxhall Vivaro plays a vital role in business decisions. Our full picture reveals fascinating details about this popular commercial vehicle.Purchase Price and Finance Options New Vauxhall Vivaro
The pricing structure shows that the new Vivaro gives competitive value compared to its main rivals. The Prime trim costs less than the Ford Transit Custom but comes with similar standard equipment. Vauxhall’s flexible finance packages stand out:
| Finance Option | Key Benefits |
|---|---|
| Standard Purchase | From £22,000 with traditional financing |
| Finance Lease | As little as 1-month deposit |
| 4x4x4 Deal | 0% APR with 4 years warranty, servicing, and assistance |
Running Costs and Maintenance
Our extensive testing showed impressive fuel efficiency numbers that directly affect running costs. The 1.5-liter diesel engine reached up to 44.8 mpg in real-life conditions. The 2.0-liter variant managed to keep a solid 34.0 mpg even with heavy loads. The maintenance schedule includes:- Service intervals every two years or 25,000-32,000 miles
- Complete three-year/100,000-mile warranty coverage
- Standard RAC roadside assistance package
Residual Value Projections
Market data shows interesting patterns in the Vivaro’s value retention. These vans typically see:- 20-30% depreciation in the first year
- 15-20% annual depreciation in years 2-3
- 50-60% total depreciation after three years
Conclusion New Vauxhall Vivaro
We spent a lot of time with the new Vauxhall Vivaro and it’s a big leap forward in the commercial van segment. This van stands out with its smart mix of practical features and modern tech. The new Vizor front end turns heads. A 10-inch infotainment system and digital dashboard bring a modern touch to the cabin. Businesses can choose between fuel-efficient diesel engines or the capable electric e-Vivaro. Our tests in real-life conditions showed both versions perform reliably and keep costs in check. Vauxhall’s understanding of business needs shows in the van’s smart cargo solutions. The FlexCargo system and generous load space make this clear. The Vivaro packs all these upgrades while staying competitively priced. Strong warranty coverage and high predicted resale values make this van’s total ownership costs attractive to budget-minded operators. The base diesel model offers great value. The electric e-Vivaro is worth a look, especially if your business operates in city areas.FAQs New Vauxhall Vivaro

Terrible business practices. Ian Hill is purchasing software after receiving a free trial and accepting license agreement but is not capable to understand the refund policy and has been trolling us afterwards. Stay away if you can!

Swiss vans are a fantastic company to deal with .From the first meeting we had they delivered everything that was asked of them , my transporter was fitted with everything I asked for with expertise as my expectations was met to the letter .if you are thinking of getting your self a transporter that gets everything you expect and ask for this is definitely the company to use . I was worried first as I shoped about and some of the quotes I received was astronomical with other companies, but I feel as a customer a customer of swiss vans i looked after in everything that I was promised so I would definitely recommend these guys and I will no doubt use their services again in the future..... David jones .... thanks Tom Jones for all your help ....

I don't normally leave reviews but I can't recommend these guys enough, seriously - anyone that's looking to buy a van or other commercial vehicle, give these guy's a call, ask for Tom because you won't be disappointed...!!!
I needed a commercial vehicle for private use as I'm not self employed and therefore paying the VAT upfront is quite a chunk of money to loose so needed it to be wrapped up in the monthly repayment. I'd already tried several other companies before Swiss Vans and non of them were interested. I'd pretty much given up and was looking at 2nd Hand vans until I came across Swiss Vans advert on Facebook. I sent a message (with very low expectation) and the next day I was contacted by Tom Jones (yes, a Welshman called Tom Jones who sells vans...!!!). Tom is the first person that actually took the time to listen to what I needed and how I needed it work. He went away and came back a couple of hours later and explained that initially this wasn't going to be easy to achieve but to leave it with him and that he'd call me the next day. To be honest, I didn't think I'd hear from him again but true to his word he called me the next day and said that he had it all worked out, all agreed and all in place ready to go. Tom fired over the paperwork, I paid the small holding deposit and a few weeks later the vans been delivered and completely exceeded my expectations.
I'm a great believer that 'People buy People', yes Swiss Vans are truly excellent and I'd go as far as to say that in my experience, they're better than the rest but like all other companies they're only as good as the people they have working for them. Tom - I can't thank you enough, you're a credit to Swiss Vans, and Swiss Vans - you're outstanding.
