How It Compares to Rivals
The Ford E-Tourneo Custom faces tough competition from several well-known electric van makers. Let’s see how this versatile electric van stacks up against its rivals in today’s market.VW ID. Buzz Comparison 2025 Ford E-Tourneo Custom
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is the E-Tourneo Custom’s main rival, with its eye-catching retro-inspired design. The ID. Buzz can go slightly further with its 258-mile range compared to E-Tourneo Custom’s 230 miles. The E-Tourneo Custom makes up for this with better DC fast-charging at 125kW, which beats the ID. Buzz’s charging rate. VW markets the ID. Buzz Cargo as a lifestyle vehicle that appeals to boutique businesses and leisure users. The E-Tourneo Custom takes a more practical approach and works well for both business and personal needs. The ID. Buzz has limited cargo space at 3.9 cubic meters, while the E-Tourneo Custom gives you more room to work with. Both vans deliver a refined driving experience. The ID. Buzz runs on VW’s MEB platform with rear-wheel drive and handles much like a car. Ford’s years of commercial vehicle expertise show in the E-Tourneo Custom’s balanced mix of comfort and practicality.Electric Van Competition Analysis
The electric van market has some strong alternatives. Mercedes offers its premium eSprinter with a 272-mile range, but it costs more than £60,000. Renault’s Master E-Tech has become popular too, with an impressive 285-mile range. The Stellantis group adds more choices with:- The Vauxhall Vivaro Electric
- Citroen e-Dispatch
- Peugeot e-Expert
- Fiat e-Scudo
Conclusion 2025 Ford E-Tourneo Custom
My extended time with the Ford E-Tourneo Custom shows it’s a solid option in the electric van market. The £56,563 price tag might seem steep, but this electric van packs enough features and capabilities to justify the investment. Range anxiety won’t be an issue with its 230-mile reach. The van adds 23 miles of range in just five minutes at a charging station. A track-mounted seating system and 2,000kg towing capacity make it perfect for families and businesses alike. The sort of thing I love about this van is Ford’s attention to detail. The tilting steering wheel transforms into a desk, and the Pro Power Onboard system adds real utility. An 8-year battery warranty leads a complete coverage package that makes ownership worry-free. The E-Tourneo Custom stands strong against the VW ID. Buzz and Mercedes eSprinter. It blends practicality, tech, and performance seamlessly. This van proves you can switch to electric without giving up space, power, or comfort.FAQs

Swiss vans are a fantastic company to deal with .From the first meeting we had they delivered everything that was asked of them , my transporter was fitted with everything I asked for with expertise as my expectations was met to the letter .if you are thinking of getting your self a transporter that gets everything you expect and ask for this is definitely the company to use . I was worried first as I shoped about and some of the quotes I received was astronomical with other companies, but I feel as a customer a customer of swiss vans i looked after in everything that I was promised so I would definitely recommend these guys and I will no doubt use their services again in the future..... David jones .... thanks Tom Jones for all your help ....

I don't normally leave reviews but I can't recommend these guys enough, seriously - anyone that's looking to buy a van or other commercial vehicle, give these guy's a call, ask for Tom because you won't be disappointed...!!!
I needed a commercial vehicle for private use as I'm not self employed and therefore paying the VAT upfront is quite a chunk of money to loose so needed it to be wrapped up in the monthly repayment. I'd already tried several other companies before Swiss Vans and non of them were interested. I'd pretty much given up and was looking at 2nd Hand vans until I came across Swiss Vans advert on Facebook. I sent a message (with very low expectation) and the next day I was contacted by Tom Jones (yes, a Welshman called Tom Jones who sells vans...!!!). Tom is the first person that actually took the time to listen to what I needed and how I needed it work. He went away and came back a couple of hours later and explained that initially this wasn't going to be easy to achieve but to leave it with him and that he'd call me the next day. To be honest, I didn't think I'd hear from him again but true to his word he called me the next day and said that he had it all worked out, all agreed and all in place ready to go. Tom fired over the paperwork, I paid the small holding deposit and a few weeks later the vans been delivered and completely exceeded my expectations.
I'm a great believer that 'People buy People', yes Swiss Vans are truly excellent and I'd go as far as to say that in my experience, they're better than the rest but like all other companies they're only as good as the people they have working for them. Tom - I can't thank you enough, you're a credit to Swiss Vans, and Swiss Vans - you're outstanding.
