New Ford Tourneo Custom 2025: Hidden Secrets
First Look: Design and Build Quality
The new Tourneo Custom commands attention with its 5,450 mm length and 2,148 mm width. A massive 3,500 mm wheelbase gives this vehicle an impressive road presence. You’ll notice the distinctive five-bar grille treatment that sets it apart from Transit’s three-bar design. This vehicle’s exterior goes beyond just looks. The lower skirt design makes the vehicle look more purposeful and costs less to repair if damaged. A reduced height under 2 metres helps with aerodynamics and lets you access underground car parks easily. The cabin quality stands out immediately. Soft-touch materials on the dashboard go together with one another with aluminium and gloss black elements. Drivers will appreciate the excellent visibility, while the cloth-upholstered seats offer great support and come with heating and fold-down armrests. A stunning 13-inch infotainment touchscreen and 12-inch digital instrument cluster dominate the interior. These sharp displays reshape the scene of this practical cabin into something more upscale. The steering column’s gear lever creates extra room in the lower cabin. The design shines with these features:- Twin sliding doors with integrated side steps
- Integrated roof rack that folds flat when not in use
- Fully trimmed interior with no visible body paint
- Refined door closure mechanism
Hidden Storage Solutions Tested
I found the Tourneo Custom’s most impressive feature while exploring deeply into its storage solutions – a massive under-seat storage compartment beneath the front bench. This space held my entire testing kit without any fuss. My medium toolbox, thermal jacket, and emergency equipment fit perfectly. The passenger airbag now sits on the roof, which creates extra storage space in the instrument panel. The dual front passenger seat comes with easy-access storage that fits a laptop and office accessories comfortably. This vehicle’s genius lies in its adaptable seating system. You can fold, slide forward, or remove the rear seats completely to create up to 5,472 litres of flexible luggage space. The boot space gives you 1,200 to 1,900 litres in the long-wheelbase version with all seats in place. The Tourneo Custom’s power accessibility is a well-thought-out feature. It includes:- Multiple USB-C ports throughout the cabin
- A 12V socket in the rear
- Charging points placed strategically for all three rows
Real Family Test Results New Ford Tourneo Custom 2025
Our rigorous family testing of the Ford Tourneo Custom revealed the vehicle’s five distinct drive modes are a great way to get insights. The system adapts throttle response, steering, and gear-change behaviour through Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery Road, and Tow/Haul modes. We tested the vehicle’s fuel efficiency with impressive results. The vehicle achieved 36+ MPG on shorter trips with eight passengers and luggage, while motorway driving yielded 43+ MPG. The driver’s raised position and the expansive windscreen gave excellent visibility during busy school runs. Our teenage passengers loved the sound system. The ceiling-mounted speakers created an immersive audio experience throughout the cabin. Music selection became easy with smooth Bluetooth connectivity. The tri-zone climate control system worked well with multiple USB-C ports and a 12V socket in the third row that kept everyone comfortable. The Tourneo Custom delivered exceptional ride comfort. Its suspension absorbed road imperfections well without feeling too soft. The independent rear suspension system proved valuable on longer trips and maintained composure with full passenger loads. The automatic transmission shifted smoothly, though acceleration remained adequate with full passenger capacity. The generous 360Nm of torque, available between 1,750 and 2,500rpm, delivered sufficient pulling power to overtake on motorways. The cabin stayed quiet during our tests. Passengers could talk between all three rows without raising their voices. This refinement, combined with the commanding view and supportive seats, made the Tourneo Custom an excellent vehicle to take on extended family trips. Conclusion New Ford Tourneo Custom 2025
The Ford Tourneo Custom is way more than your average people carrier. I spent quite a bit of time with it and found its mix of practicality and premium features makes it a great choice for big families and businesses. This vehicle’s versatility really shines. You can switch it from a luxury nine-seater to a massive cargo hauler with 5,472 litres of space. The sliding compartments need rubberized surfaces, but the storage solutions throughout the cabin are a great way to get maximum utility daily. My hands-on testing showed the fuel economy numbers were solid. The vehicle hit 43+ MPG on motorway runs easily. All passengers stay comfortable thanks to the smooth ride quality, premium B&O sound system and tri-zone climate control. The Tourneo Custom handles like a much smaller vehicle. Its commanding driving position and responsive steering make it easy to manoeuvre. The vehicle delivers on both practical needs and modern comforts, though acceleration feels a bit sluggish with a full load. This new Tourneo Custom definitely sets new standards for family vehicles. The price tag is on the higher side, but you get your money’s worth through its mix of versatility, comfort and practical features if you need a spacious and capable people mover.FAQs

Swiss vans are a fantastic company to deal with .From the first meeting we had they delivered everything that was asked of them , my transporter was fitted with everything I asked for with expertise as my expectations was met to the letter .if you are thinking of getting your self a transporter that gets everything you expect and ask for this is definitely the company to use . I was worried first as I shoped about and some of the quotes I received was astronomical with other companies, but I feel as a customer a customer of swiss vans i looked after in everything that I was promised so I would definitely recommend these guys and I will no doubt use their services again in the future..... David jones .... thanks Tom Jones for all your help ....

I don't normally leave reviews but I can't recommend these guys enough, seriously - anyone that's looking to buy a van or other commercial vehicle, give these guy's a call, ask for Tom because you won't be disappointed...!!!
I needed a commercial vehicle for private use as I'm not self employed and therefore paying the VAT upfront is quite a chunk of money to loose so needed it to be wrapped up in the monthly repayment. I'd already tried several other companies before Swiss Vans and non of them were interested. I'd pretty much given up and was looking at 2nd Hand vans until I came across Swiss Vans advert on Facebook. I sent a message (with very low expectation) and the next day I was contacted by Tom Jones (yes, a Welshman called Tom Jones who sells vans...!!!). Tom is the first person that actually took the time to listen to what I needed and how I needed it work. He went away and came back a couple of hours later and explained that initially this wasn't going to be easy to achieve but to leave it with him and that he'd call me the next day. To be honest, I didn't think I'd hear from him again but true to his word he called me the next day and said that he had it all worked out, all agreed and all in place ready to go. Tom fired over the paperwork, I paid the small holding deposit and a few weeks later the vans been delivered and completely exceeded my expectations.
I'm a great believer that 'People buy People', yes Swiss Vans are truly excellent and I'd go as far as to say that in my experience, they're better than the rest but like all other companies they're only as good as the people they have working for them. Tom - I can't thank you enough, you're a credit to Swiss Vans, and Swiss Vans - you're outstanding.
