Factors to Consider When Leasing a Townstar
When considering a Nissan Townstar lease, several key factors come into play. These elements can significantly impact the overall cost and suitability of the lease agreement for individual or business needs.Lease term and mileage
The lease term and mileage allowance are crucial aspects to consider when leasing a Nissan Townstar. UK car and van lease contracts typically come with mileage limits to protect the vehicle’s residual value and manage risk for leasing companies. When selecting a mileage allowance, it’s essential to choose a realistic figure that aligns with personal or business needs. To determine an appropriate mileage limit, lessees should review their driving habits from previous years. Examining past MOT certificates can provide insight into annual mileage requirements. Alternatively, calculating average monthly mileage and multiplying it by 12 can offer a reasonable estimate of yearly usage. It’s important to note that while funders cannot impose a specific limit, most have a minimum requirement of 5,000 miles per year. For those with high mileage needs, it’s advisable to reach out to leasing companies to explore suitable options.Upfront and monthly payments
Leasing a Nissan Townstar offers the benefit of driving a brand new van without the need for substantial upfront costs. The lease structure typically involves a small initial rental followed by low monthly payments, allowing lessees to spread the cost over time. When considering the financial aspects of a Townstar lease, it’s crucial to evaluate both the upfront costs and monthly payments. These figures can vary depending on factors such as the lease term, mileage allowance, and chosen model specifications. Comparing different lease offers can help in finding the most cost-effective option that suits individual or business budgets.Maintenance packages
Maintenance is an essential consideration when leasing a Nissan Townstar. Many lease agreements offer the option to include maintenance packages, which can provide peace of mind and help manage costs over the lease term. Nissan offers a Service Plan that covers all mandatory routine technical operations and vehicle checks. This plan can be paid for through fixed monthly instalments or a single upfront payment, depending on the lessee’s preference. The cost of the Service Plan varies based on the fuel type of the vehicle: These maintenance packages can help lessees avoid unexpected repair costs and ensure their Townstar remains in optimal condition throughout the lease term.Benefits of Leasing a Nissan Townstar
Low initial costs
Leasing a Nissan Townstar has a significant advantage over purchasing outright, as it allows businesses and individuals to drive a brand-new van without the burden of substantial upfront costs. This approach to vehicle acquisition involves a small initial rental, making it an attractive option for those who wish to manage their cash flow effectively. By spreading the cost over time, lessees can avoid making expensive payments upfront, preserving capital for other business needs or personal expenses.Fixed monthly payments
One of the key benefits of leasing a Nissan Townstar is the predictability of costs through fixed monthly rentals. This arrangement helps businesses and individuals to budget more effectively, as they know exactly how much they need to allocate for their vehicle expenses each month. The fixed nature of these payments eliminates the uncertainty associated with fluctuating costs of vehicle ownership, such as depreciation and unexpected repairs. Moreover, many lease agreements include additional benefits at no extra cost. For instance, leasing a Nissan Townstar from reputable providers often includes Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) and breakdown cover within the monthly rental. This bundling of services further enhances the cost-effectiveness and convenience of leasing.Latest model access
Leasing provides the opportunity to drive the latest Nissan Townstar models, equipped with the most up-to-date features and technology. The Townstar offers various configurations to suit different business needs, including short and long-wheelbase options with up to 4.3m3 of load space. This flexibility makes it ideal for businesses of all sizes, from small enterprises to larger corporations requiring multiple vehicles. The Nissan Townstar comes in both petrol and electric variants, catering to different operational requirements:- Petrol model: Fitted with a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder engine producing 128bhp, suitable for businesses requiring a traditional fuel option.
- Electric model (EV): Boasts an impressive WLTP combined range of up to 183 miles, making it highly competitive in the electric van segment. For urban use, Nissan claims a potential range of up to 269 miles.
- 11kW charging capability on base models, taking less than four hours for a full charge using a compatible wallbox or public charging point.
- 22kW AC charging and 80kW DC rapid charging on Acenta grade and above, allowing for a full battery replenishment in just 2 hours using a 22kW charger, or a 0 to 80% top-up in 39 minutes with a suitable DC rapid charger.
- Free delivery of the vehicle
- Standard manufacturer’s warranty
- Option to customise the vehicle to suit specific needs
- Flexibility to hand the van back at the end of the lease term
- Access to the nearest approved dealer centre for servicing

Its various lease options, including personal and business contracts, provide flexibility to suit different needs and budgets. The choice between electric and petrol models, coupled with customisable contract lengths and mileage allowances, allows lessees to tailor their agreement to their specific requirements. Swiss vans are a fantastic company to deal with .From the first meeting we had they delivered everything that was asked of them , my transporter was fitted with everything I asked for with expertise as my expectations was met to the letter .if you are thinking of getting your self a transporter that gets everything you expect and ask for this is definitely the company to use . I was worried first as I shoped about and some of the quotes I received was astronomical with other companies, but I feel as a customer a customer of swiss vans i looked after in everything that I was promised so I would definitely recommend these guys and I will no doubt use their services again in the future..... David jones .... thanks Tom Jones for all your help ....

I don't normally leave reviews but I can't recommend these guys enough, seriously - anyone that's looking to buy a van or other commercial vehicle, give these guy's a call, ask for Tom because you won't be disappointed...!!!
I needed a commercial vehicle for private use as I'm not self employed and therefore paying the VAT upfront is quite a chunk of money to loose so needed it to be wrapped up in the monthly repayment. I'd already tried several other companies before Swiss Vans and non of them were interested. I'd pretty much given up and was looking at 2nd Hand vans until I came across Swiss Vans advert on Facebook. I sent a message (with very low expectation) and the next day I was contacted by Tom Jones (yes, a Welshman called Tom Jones who sells vans...!!!). Tom is the first person that actually took the time to listen to what I needed and how I needed it work. He went away and came back a couple of hours later and explained that initially this wasn't going to be easy to achieve but to leave it with him and that he'd call me the next day. To be honest, I didn't think I'd hear from him again but true to his word he called me the next day and said that he had it all worked out, all agreed and all in place ready to go. Tom fired over the paperwork, I paid the small holding deposit and a few weeks later the vans been delivered and completely exceeded my expectations.
I'm a great believer that 'People buy People', yes Swiss Vans are truly excellent and I'd go as far as to say that in my experience, they're better than the rest but like all other companies they're only as good as the people they have working for them. Tom - I can't thank you enough, you're a credit to Swiss Vans, and Swiss Vans - you're outstanding.
