VW Multivan Lease: Is the 2024 Model Worth It?
2024 VW Multivan Overview VW Multivan Lease
The 2024 VW Multivan brings several exciting changes to the table. These changes make this model an attractive option to anyone who wants to lease a new vehicle. What’s New for 2024
VW’s steadfast dedication to modern mobility shines through in the latest Multivan. This vehicle breaks from its van-based ancestors. It shares its platform with the VW Golf and delivers car-like handling and comfort. The new eHybrid 4Motion system stands out as a major upgrade. It blends plug-in hybrid technology with all-wheel drive capabilities. The eHybrid version runs an impressive distance on electric power alone. This makes it perfect to use in city traffic and on longer trips.Available Trim Levels
The 2024 Multivan comes in three distinct trim levels. The Life trim starts things off with great standard features. These include a digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment system. The Style trim steps things up with premium additions like IQ.Light LED Matrix headlights and electric sliding doors. The Energetic trim tops the range. It has a panoramic glass roof and a premium Harman Kardon sound system with an 840W amplifier.Key Features and Technology
The 2024 Multivan’s innovative features set it apart from its competitors. Here are the most important features:- A flexible seating system with up to seven individual seats you can recline, swivel, and remove
- Advanced driver assistance with over 25 safety systems
- Digital cockpit that offers customizable displays and wireless smartphone integration
- A clever multi-function table that slides between any seating row
Leasing Costs Breakdown VW Multivan Lease
The financial aspects of a VW Multivan lease reveal various costs you should know about.Monthly Payment Analysis
Monthly payments change by a lot based on your chosen term length. Life trim models with the 2.0 TDI engine cost £379 per month on a 48-month personal contract plan. Business users pay £489 per month for a 36-month contract. Longer lease terms offer budget-friendly options, and 48-month contracts cost £635.04 for personal leases.Initial Payment Options
VW makes the initial payment structure flexible. Selected models come with a £2,500 deposit contribution. Life trim models need an initial payment of £11,120.48, though this adjusts based on your priorities. You can choose between:- 1-month to 12-month initial payment options
- Various deposit amounts affecting your monthly payments
- Business or personal lease arrangements with different upfront costs
Additional Leasing Costs VW Multivan Lease
The lease payments are just the start. A £300 processing fee applies, and excess mileage costs 7.2p per mile for most contracts. The standard mileage allowance begins at 10,000 miles annually, but adjustments from 5,000 to 30,000 miles can match your needs. Note that maintenance packages sell separately, and you must arrange your own insurance.Performance and Practicality
We tested every VW Multivan variant on the road. Our hands-on testing showed some fascinating things about this versatile vehicle.Engine Options and Efficiency
VW Multivan’s engine lineup fits different driving needs. The 2.0-litre TDI diesel stands out as our favourite choice for high-mileage drivers. It delivers a solid 148bhp and achieves impressive fuel economy of over 40mpg. Drivers who need more power can opt for the 2.0-litre TSI petrol that produces 201bhp. We found it used more fuel at around 30mpg in urban driving. The eHybrid stood out from the pack. It pairs a 1.4-litre engine with an electric motor to produce 218bhp. Our 800-mile motorway journey yielded a decent 38mpg, even with a depleted battery.Space and Versatility VW Multivan Lease
The Multivan’s interior flexibility amazes us. Our measurements with all seats in place showed:- Standard wheelbase: 469 litres of boot space
- Long wheelbase: 763 litres behind the third row
- Maximum capacity: 3,672 litres (standard) or 4,053 litres (long) with seats removed
Driving Experience
The Multivan handles better than you’d expect for its size. Light yet precise steering makes city driving easier. The suspension handles bumps well, though rougher roads can still shake things up. Our extensive time with the eHybrid showed it can reach 62mph in 9 seconds. It feels quick despite its size. The six-speed DSG gearbox lacks the smoothness of the seven-speed unit found in other variants. The diesel version takes 11.6 seconds to reach 62mph, but gives lease customers the sweet spot between performance and efficiency.Family-Friendly Features VW Multivan Lease
Let’s get into the features that make the Multivan a great choice for families, especially when you have kids. Our testing showed some impressive family-friendly elements worth talking about.Seating Configurations
The Multivan’s seating system stands out with its amazing flexibility. The standard seven-seat layout has individual chairs that adjust in multiple ways. The second row’s seats caught our eye – they can spin 180 degrees to face each other. The sliding multi-function table between any seating row is a neat touch, with three cup holders and a storage compartment.Safety Technologies
Safety is where the Multivan really shines. The five-star Euro NCAP rating speaks volumes, with 90% for adult protection and 89% for child occupant safety. The vehicle has:- Front Assist with Pedestrian Emergency Assist
- Adaptive Cruise Control with speed regulation
- Lane Assist with steering correction
- Blind Spot Monitor to boost awareness
Entertainment Systems
The entertainment features are detailed and family-friendly. The standard 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Six USB-C sockets throughout the cabin are a great way to get everyone’s devices charged on long trips. The optional Harman Kardon sound system pumps out 840 watts through multiple speakers, creating an amazing sound experience. LED ambient lighting with 30 different colour options sets the perfect mood for any trip. Conclusion VW Multivan Lease
The 2024 VW Multivan expertly balances family comfort with business functionality. Premium vehicle ownership becomes more available through flexible lease options that start at £379 monthly for the Life trim. Our largest longitudinal study shows the eHybrid variant emerges as the range’s sweet spot and delivers optimal performance and efficiency daily. VW’s Multivan stands out from typical family vehicles because of its remarkable versatility. The smart seating configurations, detailed safety features, and modern entertainment systems create a compelling package that earns its premium segment position. The vehicle’s practicality and advanced features provide solid value throughout the lease term, though lease costs might seem high at first. VW has created its best do-it-all vehicle yet with this latest Multivan. Families need more than simple transportation, and this vehicle delivers with its car-like handling, van-sized practicality, and premium features. Terrible business practices. Ian Hill is purchasing software after receiving a free trial and accepting license agreement but is not capable to understand the refund policy and has been trolling us afterwards. Stay away if you can!

Swiss vans are a fantastic company to deal with .From the first meeting we had they delivered everything that was asked of them , my transporter was fitted with everything I asked for with expertise as my expectations was met to the letter .if you are thinking of getting your self a transporter that gets everything you expect and ask for this is definitely the company to use . I was worried first as I shoped about and some of the quotes I received was astronomical with other companies, but I feel as a customer a customer of swiss vans i looked after in everything that I was promised so I would definitely recommend these guys and I will no doubt use their services again in the future..... David jones .... thanks Tom Jones for all your help ....

I don't normally leave reviews but I can't recommend these guys enough, seriously - anyone that's looking to buy a van or other commercial vehicle, give these guy's a call, ask for Tom because you won't be disappointed...!!!
I needed a commercial vehicle for private use as I'm not self employed and therefore paying the VAT upfront is quite a chunk of money to loose so needed it to be wrapped up in the monthly repayment. I'd already tried several other companies before Swiss Vans and non of them were interested. I'd pretty much given up and was looking at 2nd Hand vans until I came across Swiss Vans advert on Facebook. I sent a message (with very low expectation) and the next day I was contacted by Tom Jones (yes, a Welshman called Tom Jones who sells vans...!!!). Tom is the first person that actually took the time to listen to what I needed and how I needed it work. He went away and came back a couple of hours later and explained that initially this wasn't going to be easy to achieve but to leave it with him and that he'd call me the next day. To be honest, I didn't think I'd hear from him again but true to his word he called me the next day and said that he had it all worked out, all agreed and all in place ready to go. Tom fired over the paperwork, I paid the small holding deposit and a few weeks later the vans been delivered and completely exceeded my expectations.
I'm a great believer that 'People buy People', yes Swiss Vans are truly excellent and I'd go as far as to say that in my experience, they're better than the rest but like all other companies they're only as good as the people they have working for them. Tom - I can't thank you enough, you're a credit to Swiss Vans, and Swiss Vans - you're outstanding.
