At the end of the agreement, businesses can either enter a secondary rental period or sell the vehicle on behalf of the finance company and receive a percentage of the sales proceeds.

Costs Associated with VW Transporter Leasing
When considering a VW Transporter lease, it’s crucial to understand the various costs involved. These expenses typically include monthly payments, an initial rental, and additional fees. By breaking down these costs, businesses can better plan their budgets and make informed decisions about their vehicle leasing options.Monthly Payments
The core expense in leasing a VW Transporter is the monthly payment. This figure is determined at the beginning of the lease agreement and remains consistent throughout the contract term. The monthly rental covers the use of the vehicle and includes road tax at the prevailing rate. One advantage of leasing is the ability to spread the cost of a new vehicle over manageable chunks. This allows businesses to plan with confidence for the next 3-5 years. The amount of the monthly payment can be influenced by several factors:- Lease term length
- Annual mileage allowance
- Initial rental amount
- Vehicle specifications
Initial Rental VW Transporter Lease
The initial rental, also known as the upfront payment, is typically paid 7-10 days after the vehicle is delivered. This payment is a multiple of the monthly rental, and lessees can often choose how much they want to pay upfront. Common options include:- 1 month’s rental
- 3 months’ rental
- 6 months’ rental
- 9 months’ rental
Additional Fees VW Transporter Lease
Beyond the monthly payments and initial rental, there are additional fees to consider when leasing a VW Transporter:- Processing Fee: Many leasing companies charge a processing fee to cover the costs associated with sourcing, arranging, and marketing lease deals, as well as processing the lease agreement. For example, some companies charge a processing fee of £249 plus VAT.
- Excess Mileage Charges: If a business exceeds the agreed-upon annual mileage limit, additional charges may apply. It’s important to accurately estimate mileage needs when setting up the lease agreement.
- Wear and Tear Costs: At the end of the lease term, the vehicle will be inspected for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Any excessive damage may result in additional charges.
- Early Termination Fees: If a business needs to end the lease before the agreed term, early termination fees may apply.
Maintenance and Support
Volkswagen offers comprehensive maintenance and support services to ensure that VW Transporter lease customers enjoy a worry-free experience throughout their lease term. These services encompass warranty coverage, servicing options, and roadside assistance, providing peace of mind for businesses and individuals alike.Warranty Coverage
Volkswagen provides a robust warranty package for new VW Transporters. This includes a three-year warranty that protects against unexpected repairs. During the first two years, there’s no mileage limit on this coverage. However, in the third year, the warranty applies only if the vehicle’s mileage is below 100,000 miles. For those seeking extended protection, Volkswagen offers an Extended Warranty option. This can be purchased from as little as £158 per year and includes:- 12 months cover against the costs of repairing or replacing failed components

What are some potential drawbacks of leasing a van? Leasing a van can have several disadvantages including mileage limitations, lack of ownership, and potentially higher costs over the long term. It’s crucial to consider both the advantages and disadvantages to decide if leasing fits your business needs. Can you list three disadvantages of leasing a car? Certainly, the three main disadvantages of leasing a car include: not owning the car at the lease’s end, being responsible for any wear and tear, and facing extra charges if the mileage limit is exceeded. Additionally, failing a credit check can prevent you from qualifying for a lease. What occurs when a van lease concludes? At the end of a van lease, you simply return the van without any final payment required. This allows you the flexibility to choose a new model and enter into another lease agreement. What are the tax advantages of leasing a van? Leasing a van offers significant tax benefits, particularly for businesses. Since the van is rented and not owned, it counts as a business expense. This means you can deduct 100% of the lease payments for tax purposes, provided all criteria are met.

I don't normally leave reviews but I can't recommend these guys enough, seriously - anyone that's looking to buy a van or other commercial vehicle, give these guy's a call, ask for Tom because you won't be disappointed...!!!
I needed a commercial vehicle for private use as I'm not self employed and therefore paying the VAT upfront is quite a chunk of money to loose so needed it to be wrapped up in the monthly repayment. I'd already tried several other companies before Swiss Vans and non of them were interested. I'd pretty much given up and was looking at 2nd Hand vans until I came across Swiss Vans advert on Facebook. I sent a message (with very low expectation) and the next day I was contacted by Tom Jones (yes, a Welshman called Tom Jones who sells vans...!!!). Tom is the first person that actually took the time to listen to what I needed and how I needed it work. He went away and came back a couple of hours later and explained that initially this wasn't going to be easy to achieve but to leave it with him and that he'd call me the next day. To be honest, I didn't think I'd hear from him again but true to his word he called me the next day and said that he had it all worked out, all agreed and all in place ready to go. Tom fired over the paperwork, I paid the small holding deposit and a few weeks later the vans been delivered and completely exceeded my expectations.
I'm a great believer that 'People buy People', yes Swiss Vans are truly excellent and I'd go as far as to say that in my experience, they're better than the rest but like all other companies they're only as good as the people they have working for them. Tom - I can't thank you enough, you're a credit to Swiss Vans, and Swiss Vans - you're outstanding.
